Man in jail for 23yrs as appeal pending with SC

Manik from Patuakhali was arrested in a prison for at least 23 years because his fascination with life-term jail remains pending with the Appellate Division. The court issued the directive in a hearing at a bond burial of Manik. Manik's attorney Md Ariful Islam advised the courtroom that Manik ought to be freed on bond because he served 23 decades, six months after three times until Thursday. The attorney told the court a life-term receiver could no more be arrested in prison over 20 decades. He advised the courtroom that Manik was detained on October 19, 1997 and that he had been sentenced to life August 24, 2006. When requested, Barishal district jailer Shah Alam told New Age which Manik had been also working out a total of 40 years in prison in two instances -- for murder and the other for prosecution. Manik was changed to Barishal in Patuakhali in 1997, '' he explained.
